Addressing Noncommunicable Diseases to Deliver for Good

This September, governments will attend the UN High-Level Meeting (UN HLM) on Noncommunicable Diseases. Ahead of the meeting, Women Deliver, the NCD Alliance, the World Diabetes Foundation, and partners will launch a call to action on diabetes in pregnancy to highlight the cross-cutting dimensions of the disease on maternal health, nutrition, and overall health and wellbeing. Stay tuned next week for more information on the call to action, and how your organisation can sign on.

To read more about the how the UN HLM on NCDs affects reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, check out this article by Katie Dain, CEO of the NCD Alliance. She explains why this is a critical moment for the NCD and maternal health communities to work together, and explains how you can get involved.
