Galvanizing Commitment for the Fight Against NCDs In Cameroon

1. From 3rd to 5th September 2019:Diabetes and Hypertension peer educators to pay a visit to the municipal council to crave their indulgence on the dangers of tobacco consumption in any form and secondary smoking, while proposing smoke free zones be created in municipalities and public smoking prohibited which is a normalcy in Cameroon.- CBCHS

2. Media outreach, social media campaign with messages educating the public on the dangers of tobacco and drug use, calling on the government to take more action on NCDs in Cameroon by making high taxes for tobacco and creating more safe spaces and tobacco free zones in the different municipalities. A newsletter will also be sent out on the enough campaign. CBCHS in collaboration with YAP Program, VAHA, RADA.

4. Press kit/ report on the Enough Campaign by C3t and what C3t expects from tobacco control stakeholders. C3T visit to the Director of Health Promotion on inclusion of NCDs in UHC Statement to be delivered by the Cameroon Minister of Health in Yaoundé.– C3T, CBCHS and HoPIT

5. 6th September 2019, Physical exercise with aerobic dances, music playback with guest artist’s special song on NCDs in Yaoundé and Bamenda. – Sports Coordinators.

6. On 7 and 9th September 2019, debriefing clinical staff on the use of a newly developed standard protocol for hypertension in five pilot sites of five regions of Cameroon thanks to the Resolve to Save Lives in Yaoundé, Douala, Ekounou, Bafoussam and Bamenda.– Focal Points.

7. On 3rd to 9th September 2019 One week mobile screening campaign in Bafoussam and health promotion fair as part of the full package. KYN Team.
